• Pre-heat the oven to 350°.
• Peel the plantains but do not cut. Place them in a flat oblong ovenproof dish.
Process the orange juice, sugar, and wine in a blender. Pour over the plantains. Dot the plantains with pieces of butter or margarine.
• Bake for 1hour basting frequently until they are very soft and almost caramelized. If at the end of an hour they are not soft, continue baking until they are ready. The time depends on the ripeness of the plantain. |
